Roberto Nisticò

Roberto Nisticò is Associate Professor of General and Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Milano-Bicocca. His research activities focus on the development of nanostructured oxide materials and other inorganic systems, with particular reference to magnetic nanomaterials, for the environmental remediation of contaminated (waste)waters, catalysis, and energy applications. He is author of over 95 scientific publications published in (inter)national scientific journals.
Roberto Nisticò graduated in 2011 in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Turino (magna cum laude), where he also obtained his PhD in Chemical and Material Sciences in 2015. He has worked both in academia at the University of Turino and the Polytechnic Institute of Turino, as well as in the private sector at Bio-ON SpA (Castel S. Pietro Terme, Italy) and PolyCrystalLine SpA (Medicina, Italy). For his scientific research, he received the Gian Giacomo Drago and Fausta Rivera Drago Award (2023) from the Lombard Institute of Sciences and Letters in Milano, and the second Young Talents Award (2022) from the University of Milano-Bicocca with the sponsorship of the National Academy of Lincei. Additionally, he was selected as IUPAC Young Observer (2024-2025) by the Italian Commission for IUPAC to represent Italy during the 2024-2025 biennium.
