 Born in Italy in 1969, Davide Mantione graduated in Chemical Engineer at the University of Palermo in 1992 and completed his PhD in Electrochemical Engineering at Polytechnic of Milan in 1995. In 1995 he joined Solvay in Rosignano as Researcher at Electrolysis Research Center. In 1999 he took part to the start-up of the 1st Electrolysis bipolar cellroom in Argentina Bahia Blanca where he was then moved as process engineer up to 2003. From 2003 to 2006 he worked in Bruxelles as technical manager in Electrolysis department managing and taking part to new plant project and start up in Germany, Belgium, Thailand, Brasil, Italy. In 2007 he was moved to Rosignano as project leader for Leonardo project (120 M€ mercury – membrane electrolysis conversion) first and as production unit manager then. In 2010 he was nominated Rosignano site technical coordinator and Site transformation program project leader (World Class Factory) in 2013. He was local Sponsor for BICAR manufacturing Excellence, CLM Manufacturing Excellence, 5S, and other lean programs. He is a six-sigma black belt and coach for local Six Sigma black belt. In 2017 he took the responsibility of Head of Research Development and technology for the business of Soda Ash and Derivatives, being base in Bruxelles. Since 2022 he’s in charge of Special Project related to the Energy Trasition for the Soda Ash and Devivatives Solvay industrial sites.
