Antonella Scaglia

Antonella Scaglia has built a professional career characterized by the integration of technical and scientific expertise, industrial innovation, and managerial leadership. Holding a degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Genoa and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Milan, she began her career in the field of electric drives, while maintaining strong ties with academia through teaching activities, scientific publications, and appointments on university committees.
The first phase of her career developed within the manufacturing industry, in the ABB and Ansaldo Groups. Starting from technical design roles, she progressively assumed greater responsibilities in research and development, application engineering, production, and general management, ultimately becoming Executive Vice President of the Motors, Generators & Drives Division at Nidec ASI. She led complex product and process innovation projects, including the design, engineering, and production of medium-voltage inverters, applications for the Oil & Gas, Marine, Power, Renewable Energy, and Energy Storage sectors, plant problem-solving initiatives, and productivity improvement programs based on Lean Manufacturing principles.
Since 2014, she has transferred her experience to the services sector, leading the IMQ Group, operating in the field of conformity assessment services. She designed and implemented a transformation plan based on organizational redesign, new governance models, international expansion, and the extension of the service portfolio. Under her leadership, the Group achieved significant growth, also through acquisitions and the establishment of new international subsidiaries: revenues increased from €89 million to €130 million, EBITDA margin rose to approximately 20% from the previous 13%, and the workforce expanded from 500 to 900 employees.
Since 2023, she has continued her professional journey by joining the Kiwa Group, one of the leading European TIC organizations, operating in 40 countries with approximately 11,000 employees and revenues of around €1.7 billion. In addition to serving as Director of International Strategy for Kiwa N.V., she is CEO of Kiwa Italia Holding and Country Manager Italy. In this role, she leads the execution of the five-year growth plan, focusing on operational efficiency, service portfolio expansion and both organic and acquisition-driven growth. Early results confirm the continuity of her leadership approach: between 2023 and 2025, Kiwa Italia's revenues increased by 16% and EBITDA by 34%.
Alongside her corporate responsibilities, she has held positions on boards of directors, including Technoprobe, as well as on committees and international organizations such as the B20. Her career has been recognized through prestigious awards and honors, including “Ambassador of Genoa in the World,” the “Merit and Talent Award,” and the “CEO Italian Awards” for innovation.
